GOING PINK IN OCTOBER!

Notice the ribbon to the left? That's right - it's October. Which not only means Halloween fun, but breast cancer awareness month. You all know the subject is near and dear to my heart! In fact, since I've now turned the big 3-0 I get to start going in for mammograms. Yeah for me! Since my mom has had breast cancer, I'm 50% more likely to get it and have to start my mammograms earlier than everyone else. Anyway, just a quick shout out to remind everyone the importance of self breast exams (and mammograms) and being aware of your body. So, ladies (and gents) pull out some pink and wear it proudly. Tis' the season after all!

I like the ribbon!
I don't know if you know this, but for the month of October if you buy a pink shirt at down east outfitters, it's only $5 and 50% of all the proceeds go towards breast cancer. I bought my shirt yesterday, what a deal-cheap and for a good cause!
They yogurt I buy also helps with breast cancer. There are so many way to help/donate, without even doing anything. It's great!
